The Peace Center Lahore organized an Interfaith Christmas Celebration on 19 December 2025 at the Peace Center, Lahore. The Interfaith Child Protection Forum Punjab was convened on 30 October 2025 at Park Lane Hotel, Lahore, to strengthen collective efforts for the protection and welfare of children across Punjab. The forum brought together interfaith leaders, representatives of civil society, government officials, and child rights advocates to review progress and reaffirm their shared commitment to safeguarding children. A high-profile courtesy meeting was held on 23 September 2025 at the Governor House, Lahore, hosted by Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor of Punjab. The meeting was organized in connection with the observance of the International Day of Peace 2025 and the presentation of the Peace Award to distinguished interfaith leaders and members of the international delegation from HWPL � Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (Republic of Korea). The gathering brought together prominent religious leaders, peace activists, and representatives of civil society from across Pakistan, along with international peace advocates, reaffirming a shared commitment to interfaith harmony, climate responsibility, and sustainable peace.

Lahore, September 2, 2025 � A gathering of religious leaders from diverse faith traditions took place at the Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture (PILAC) Auditorium, Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, to discuss the recent devastating floods in Pakistan and explore strategies to assist affected communities.

On August 9, 2025, during the National Minority Day celebrations at Alhamra Art Council, Lahore, I was deeply humbled to receive the Peace and Interfaith Harmony Award from Hon. Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Government of Punjab.

The Peace Center Lahore has successfully installed a Clean Water Filtration Plant at the Pastoral Institute Multan, marking a significant step toward providing safe and clean drinking water to the community. A special inauguration ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the project. The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Raphael Mehnga OP, Fr. Yaqoob Farooq OP, and Fr. Iftikhar Moon OP.

The seminar brought together 45 Christian youth from Lahore who participated in this faith formation event aimed at deepening their spiritual identity and empowering them to be active witnesses of Christ in today�s world.

On May 29, 2025, the Peace Center, Lahore hosted a dynamic and spiritually enriching seminar on the theme of �Pentecost and the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.� at Peace Center. This timely topic offered an in-depth reflection on the Holy Spirit�s role in empowering young believers to live as committed disciples of Christ in today�s complex world.

The Interfaith Harmony Fellowship Seminar was successfully held on May 22, 2025, at Madrasa Jamia Masjid Qubra, Samanabad, Lahore. The event was jointly organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Madrasa Jamia Masjid Qubra with the central theme: "Love Your Neighbour as Love Yourself." This seminar served as a platform for religious scholars and leaders from Christian, Muslim, and Hindu communities to explore this universal teaching of love and coexistence through the lens of their respective faith traditions.

On 15 April,2025 Peace Center organized the distribution ceremony of wheelchairs for disabled people with the collaboration of Society for Special Persons. With the financial support by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pakistan, to promote mobility and independence among individuals with disabilities.

A prestigious Interfaith Dialogue Conference was held on April 13, 2025, in Faletti�s Hotel Lahore, organized by the Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Islamabad. The conference brought together prominent religious leaders, government officials, scholars, and social representatives from across Pakistan.

On 18 February 2025, Islamic Relief Pakistan in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan organized the Launch and Consultation Workshop of the Provincial Interfaith Child Protection Forum (ICPF) at Ramadan Hotel, Lahore.

On 14 February 2025, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), in partnership with Bargad, organized a high-level interfaith consultation meeting in Lahore. The meeting brought together faith leaders from different religious communities to discuss the growing climate crisis in Pakistan and to explore the constructive role faith actors can play in promoting environmental protection and climate resilience.

Fr. James Channan, a prominent Catholic priest and Director of Peace Center, Lahore, Pakistan, was honoured with a special invitation to participate in the International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit 2025, held in Washington, D.C., from 2�3 February 2025. In addition, he attended the National Prayer Breakfast 2025 as a distinguished international guest at the United States Capitol.

Peace Center Lahore organized Interfaith Christmas Celebration 2024 at Peace Center with the people of different religions. In this Interfaith Christmas celebration gathering more than 130 people were present and they were from Christian, Muslim, and Hindu religions and they shared joy and love with one another and as people of different religions they gave the message of peace, Hope and Love.

A Shining Example: Fr. James Channan’s 50 Years of Dedication On 3rd September 2024, the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Lahore witnessed a grand celebration as Fr. James Channan OP marked 50 years of his priesthood. Peace Center Lahore organized an Interfaith conference with the theme of Nature of Interfaith Harmony and Challenges in Pakistan on 21 November, 2024. Peace Center Lahore, organized with the collaboration of Islamic Supreme Council Canada, Unity Assist Foundation and Human Welfare & Development Organization. Professor Imam Syed Badinddin Suhrawardy came from Canada and he was the chief guest. More than 50 Interfaith leaders participated in this interfaith conference.

An international conference on the theme of “Promoting Interfaith Dialogue for Global Peace”, was held on 26th-27th October 2024 at Minhaj University Lahore. This conference welcomed over 500 participants including prominent scholars, religious leaders, academics and policymakers from around the world, and served as a platform to explore the relationship between religion and politics, emphasizing themes of harmony, tolerance and unity.

Peace Center Lahore organized International Day of Peace on 21 September,2024 at Pak Aarab Housing Scheme, Ferozepur Road Lahore, Pakistan. The theme was Cultivating a Culture of Peace by the United Nations for the year of 2024. More than 100 people participated in this program from different religions as Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs. Mr. Asher Nazir warmly welcomed to all honorable guests with great joy.

The 18th International Human Rights Summit kicked off with a display of youthful passion and advocacy as 50 Youth and Senior Delegates from 34 nations—joined by over 400 government officials, educators and human rights advocates from around the world—gathered at United Nations Headquarters in New York. Their arrival was met with a standing ovation from the attendees, reflecting collective respect for their commitment to human rights. The delegates, selected from a large pool of applicants based on their stellar track records in advocating for human rights, didn’t just come for praise. Their main purpose was to expand their knowledge and skills to advance their goals.

Norwegian Church Aid Pakistan organized Peacebuilding PAK-COP 2024 Interfaith conference with partners and like-minded organization at Shangri-La Hotel Muree, Pakistan. Fr. On 11 September,2024 the birth the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) was celebrated at International Secretariat of Minhaj Ul Quran. In this celebration a large number of Muslim, Christian, Hindu, and Sikh religious leaders along with scholars from various schools of thought participate. President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has emphasized that promoting interfaith harmony and tolerance is crucial for establishing lasting peace in the world. He stated that everyone must work together for the respect and welfare of humanity.

President House, Islamabad, Pakistan On 12 August,2024 Government of Pakistan organized Interfaith conference on National Minority DAay,2024 at President House Islamabad, Pakistan. President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Zardari participated as Chief Guest in the conference. More than 500 interfaith people participated in this conference all the provinces of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday reiterated that Pakistan was committed to protection of the rights of minorities and provision of equal opportunities to them to excel in every walk of life as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan.

There was Peace and Interfaith Harmony Conference organized in Youhanabad in which Mr. Asher Nazir; Executive Secretary of Peace Center participated. He expressed his great joy at this conference which is of prime importance in Pakistan. It brings closer the believers of different religions under one roof. Mr. Asher presented book of Fr. James Channan OP “Path of Love: A Call for Interfaith Harmony” to Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs, Government of Punjab.

On 1st of July,2024 Catholic Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism, Pakistan Interfaith with the collaboration of Peace Center organized Round Table Conference with Religious Leaders at a local hotel in Lahore. Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Grand Imam of the Badshahi Mosque, Lahore, participated as Chief Guest and this conference was presided over by Bishop Yousaf Sohan Diocese of Multan and Chairman of the National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism. Many religious leaders participated from different religions. With it the preventatives of civil societies were also present there.

Peace Center Lahore organized Interfaith Conference on Dialogue among Religion on 7 June,2024 at 125-B, Pak Arab Housing Society Ferozepur Road, Lahore. Dr. Safi Kaskas was the Guest of Honor in this Interfaith conference. Asher Nazir Executive Secretary Peace Center Lahore invited to Pandit Baghat Lal Khokhar, Fr. Lazar Aslam, Sardar Sikandar Sing and Allama Badar Munir for Interfaith prayers. After interfaith prayers he warmly welcomed to Guest of Honor Dr. Safi Kaskas and all participants.

Doha International Center for Interreligious Dialogue (DICID) and Foreign Ministry of the State of Qatar, organized internation conference in Doha. It is one of the most important international platforms, bringing together intellectuals and representatives from the three monotheistic religions (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism), as well as religious scholars, academics, and leaders of interfaith dialogue centers, and institutions from around the world.

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court has called for coexistence and tolerance in society, pointing out that Pakistan is among the lowest-ranking countries when it comes to religious freedom. Justice Shah said all non-Muslim communities in Pakistan “are dear to us, and we all love them”, expressing his wish to see elevation of judges in the higher courts from the minority communities as well, though he added the term ‘minority’ was not suitable for them, as it only represents their numbers. He expressed these views while addressing the Justice A.R. Cornelius Conference, hosted by a minority rights organization on Saturday. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi of the Lahore High Court also spoke.

The festival of Diwali is celebrated on the darkest night of the year in the Hindu month of Kartik. This festival is being celebrated on Kartik Amavasya. People celebrate this festival with great grandeur and enthusiasm and enjoy it with their family, friends and relatives.

prominent religious leaders and Promoters of Interfaith harmony and Peace from different religions warmly welcomed the German delegation and they shared the impacts, challenges, opportunities and how they are promoting peace and interfaith harmony among the people of different religions in Pakistan.

On 22nd October,2023 Christian Study Center organized a conference on Christian Theology, witness and practice in the context of Islam and Pakistan: Promoting understanding and discipleship at CSC Rawalpindi. 35 participants from different churches and organizations participated in this conference.

On 9th October, 2023 the ceremony of S.P Dewan Bahadur Singha Award.2023 organized by Mr. Samuel Payara Chairman Implementation of Minority Rights Forum (IMRF) at the Governor's House on Monday. Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman was the chief guest of the award ceremony of S.P Singha award.

Superior University Lahore organized a conference on UN SDGs with the title of Fostering Interfaith Harmony: A Catalyst for Peace and Progress on 12 October,2023 in Lahore.

Pakistan Ulema Council Pakistan and International Interfaith Harmony Council Organized “Rights of Non-Muslims in an Islamic State” on 1st of October, 2023 at the celebration of the birth of Muhammad – the Prophet of Islam. This conference was organized in the Alhamara Hall Lahore. Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi was the Chief Organizer.

In a sequence to this, Directorate of Interfaith Relations organised a Condemnation Reference at the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) on 20th September 2023. Different faith leaders, religious scholars and representatives from various walks of life attended it.

Peace Center Lahore organized Christian Youth Faith Formation Program on 25th April,2023 at Lahore. 45 Christian youth participated from the different location of Lahore. Fr. On 25th January,2023 Fr. James Channan OP Director Peace Center Lahore met to formal Prime Minister and Speaker of National Assembly in Islamabad and presented his book Path of Love: A Call for Interfaith Harmony. Pink Ribbon Women Awareness Seminar on breast cancer was organized 0n 22nd November, 2022 by Peace Center on International day of PINKRIBBON. The Head Nurses and Staff of Hameed Latif Hospital Lahore participated and She gave presentations and addressed the audience about the breast cancer and how to ensure regular check-ups to decrease the risk of getting this disease.

With the arrival of winter, Church groups are rushing aid to people affected by the devastating floods that hit the country in June. Temperatures are already dropping in Pakistan, which is still reeling from flooding that put one-third of the country under water, displaced eight million people and caused at least US$28 billion worth of damage. The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar organized international interfaith conference on 24-25 May, 2022 in Doha. It was held under the patronage of His Excellency, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Interfaith exposure visits of Peace Center Lahore team in the province of Sindh Pakistan. We visited Hindu Temple, Lal Mandar in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, Shrine of Muslim Sufi Saint, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai in Sindh and Sikh Gurudawara, Bitshaw city in Sindh, Pakistan. A grand “National Interfaith Harmony and Peace Conference” was organized by the Dominicans on 14 th of February, 2022 in the beautiful premises of Peace Center in Lahore. In this conference over 60 prominent Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Baha’i leaders gathered to share and celebrate the achievement of interfaith dialogue and also to highlight the challenges we are faced with in promoting this important mission of dialogue among religions to make world more peaceful and humane.

The basic purpose of the Peace Center Lahore to organize this Covid-19 Awareness Campaign was to make schools staff and students aware about Covid-19, and involve in different activities regarding COVID-19 and strengthen the schools, by activating its staff and students. Together Peace Center joins hands with the schools and organizations for the prevention of COVID-19 to improve the education system in Pakistan. The main audience and beneficiaries of the program were Christian youth from various backgrounds. They represented their Church and community along with different challenges, they are confronting being minority in Pakistan. Many influential personalities were invited as guest speakers; Fr. Taufiq Younas OP, Ms Neelam Nisari, Mr. Ijaz Azad, Mr. Kamran Chaudhary, Pastor Khuram and Pastor Samuel Massey.

Christian Faith Formation is the ongoing program to engage Christians from different denominations for the promotion and affirmation of Christian Faith.
